What Cloudway handles for appliances brands

Pallet storage for heavy units

Appliance inventory received and stored on pallets at the 40,000 sq ft Hayward, CA warehouse.

Serial-number tracking

Serial numbers captured so warranty, returns and claims can be tied to the unit that shipped.

Parcel for small appliances

Countertop appliances, parts and accessories shipped by parcel.

Residential LTL coordination

Full-size units tendered to carriers with liftgate, residential and appointment services captured with the order.

Dealer and retailer orders

Palletized dealer replenishment and retailer dropship orders shipped to each program’s rules.

Returns and condition documentation

Returned units received, inspected and documented for restock, refurbishment decisions or carrier claims.

Why Cloudway fits this product profile

Small and large from one inventory

Parcel and LTL ship from the same Hayward warehouse, so mixed catalogs do not need two fulfillment providers.

Delivery details carried through

Liftgate, appointment and access notes travel with the order to the carrier instead of being re-keyed.

Unit-level traceability

Serial-number tracking supports the warranty and returns workflows appliance brands depend on.

DTC, B2B, marketplace and retail orders from one inventory

Direct-to-consumer

Small appliances by parcel; large appliances by residential LTL with liftgate or appointment as required.

Retailer and marketplace dropship

Retailer orders shipped to the retailer’s documented labeling and routing rules.

Dealer / B2B

Palletized orders to dealers, distributors and commercial buyers shipped LTL.

Returns and damage claims

Returned units received, inspected and documented to support disposition and carrier claims.

Channels with Cloudway workflow experience

Supported channel workflows only — retailers and marketplaces make their own vendor and placement decisions.

Parcel or LTL? We help you decide per SKU

Usually parcel

  • Countertop and small appliances, parts and accessories within carrier parcel limits

Usually LTL

  • Full-size and freestanding appliances to residential addresses with liftgate and/or appointment (carrier-delivered)
  • Palletized dealer and retail replenishment
  • Multi-unit B2B orders

For residential appliance freight, the order needs delivery details — liftgate, appointment contact, access notes — captured before it is tendered to the carrier. See LTL fulfillment.

Cloudway, powered by mPorts

Inventory and orders stay connected

  • Order data from channels carries delivery instructions through to the shipment, so liftgate and appointment details are not lost.
  • Inventory by model and, where needed, serial number tracked across channels.
  • Shipment and delivery status returned to the selling channel.

Fulfillment guide

Appliances fulfillment: detailed considerations

Common fulfillment challenges

Residential freight is the hard part

A refrigerator or range going to a home needs liftgate, a delivery appointment and often more than curbside. Each accessorial changes cost and transit, and missed appointments add redelivery fees.

Heavy, damage-sensitive units

Dents and cosmetic damage on large appliances often mean a full return. Pallet build, strapping and handling at every touch point matter.

Serial and model tracking

Warranty and returns workflows often depend on knowing which unit shipped to which customer.

Mixed small and large catalog

Brands frequently sell both countertop appliances and full-size units, which need different shipping modes from the same inventory.

B2B and retail considerations

  • Dealer and commercial orders usually ship on pallets to business addresses with dock or liftgate requirements noted on the BOL.
  • Retailer dropship programs for large items often specify the carrier, service level and delivery appointment process.
  • Appliances are commonly sold through channels such as The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Amazon, Walmart, Macy’s and Bed Bath & Beyond (small appliances). Cloudway has workflow experience with these channels, including freight-class orders; placement remains each retailer’s decision.

Frequently asked questions

Can Cloudway ship large appliances to residential addresses?
Yes, through residential LTL workflows. Liftgate, appointment and residential delivery services are provided by the carrier and quoted per shipment based on destination.
Do you offer white-glove appliance delivery or installation?
Through partners. In-home white-glove delivery, installation and haul-away are partner-delivered services where available. Cloudway handles storage, order processing and tendering to the carrier or partner.
Can Cloudway track appliance serial numbers?
Yes. Serial-number tracking is part of Cloudway’s warehouse capability, so the unit shipped to each customer can be identified for warranty, returns and claims.
Can small and large appliances ship from the same warehouse?
Yes. The Hayward, CA warehouse ships parcel and LTL, so countertop appliances and full-size units can share one inventory and order flow.
How are appliance returns handled?
Returned units are received, inspected and documented so the brand can decide to restock, refurbish through its own channels, or file a carrier claim.
