Dropship fulfillment for brands selling through retailers and dealers
Ship every retailer and dealer order direct to their customer — parcel or freight — from one U.S. inventory, with confirmations sent back on time.
Cloudway ships your retailer and dealer dropship orders from its 40,000 sq ft warehouse in Hayward, California. Each order goes out under the partner’s order number and packing requirements, by parcel or LTL, from one U.S. inventory pool — so you can supply several retail programs and dealers without stocking each one.
mPorts receives each partner’s purchase orders, sends them to the warehouse and returns shipment confirmation and tracking in the form the partner expects. The commercial relationship with each retailer or dealer stays yours.

Why Cloudway
Why brands choose Cloudway
Every partner’s format, one warehouse queue
mPorts normalizes partner orders into one queue and maps confirmations back to each partner’s format, set up per partner.
Packing slips and labels done right
Partner-specific documents are configured into each partner’s workflow rather than handled ad hoc.
Fast shipment confirmations
Tracking is pushed back automatically once a shipment is created, not typed in later.
Parcel and freight together
A dealer’s bulky order does not need a separate warehouse — pallet storage and LTL are on site.
No double-selling the last unit
Inventory feeds to every partner come from one stock figure.
How it works
From first call to shipped orders
- 1
Map each partner
For each retailer or dealer we document how orders arrive, what the packing slip and label must show, and how confirmations and inventory must be returned.
- 2
Connect order flow
mPorts is configured to receive that partner’s orders and send confirmations and inventory updates back.
- 3
Test orders
Sample orders are run end to end before the partner goes live, where the partner supports testing.
- 4
Ship under the partner’s requirements
Orders are picked, packed with the right documents and shipped by parcel or LTL.
- 5
Monitor and reconcile
Exceptions such as backorders, cancellations and address problems are surfaced and resolved with you.

Talk to CloudwayDropship basics
Dropship vs. marketplace fulfillment
Dropship fulfillment means your retail partner or dealer takes the sale and you ship the item directly to their customer, under their order number and often their packing slip. In marketplace fulfillment, by contrast, you are the seller of record on the platform.
The warehouse work is similar in both models; what differs is the paperwork and data exchange: purchase orders from the partner, partner-branded documents, and shipment confirmations and inventory feeds returned in the partner’s format and on the partner’s timeline.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between dropship and marketplace fulfillment?
- In marketplace fulfillment you are the seller of record on the platform. In dropship, a retailer or dealer is the seller and you ship on their behalf under their order. The warehouse work is similar; the paperwork and data exchange differ.
- Can you ship bulky dropship orders by freight?
- Yes. The Hayward facility has pallet storage and LTL capability, so orders too large for parcel can ship as freight from the same stock.
- Will the packing slip show my dealer’s name?
- Partner-specific packing slips are part of each partner’s setup. Exact requirements are confirmed per partner.
- Can you connect to a retailer’s vendor portal?
- Connections run through mPorts and are set up per retailer. We confirm the supported method for each partner during onboarding.
Good to know
- You hold the vendor or dealer agreement; retailer approval is the retailer’s decision.
- Each partner’s connection is set up individually, so timelines vary by partner.
- Room-of-choice and assembly services are delivered by partners.
